Finished Mini Retro Rubies 30's Quilt

I laz-i-ly (is that even a word?) finished the little 30's version of my Retro Rubies Quilt last night. This little cutie measures 18.5" x 24". I totally did not even worry about crooked seams or imperfect quilting or anything. It was a sample to try the curves and that's ALL. I wasn't even going to even finish it but decided to anyways. I just used the same fabrics for the back (oh well about the lines being a little crooked) and some green for the binding. I did the laziest quilt job ever! I just echoed the petals and the corner blocks. Ha! Ain't nobody got time for that! Besides,  the "quilting" part of a quilt is my least favorite which is why I usually pay to have it done by someone else. Don't look too close or you'll see imperfections...lots of imperfections. Haha.

Too bad the lines are way slanted. I wish I cared to line it up perfectly..Oh well! No one will really see the back if I decide to hang it in my daughter's room someday or use it as a doll quilt.

  1. I think it is fine! Sometimes the freedom of practice without the need for perfection is a good skill building thing. Good for you!
