I'm a Scrap-bee-licious Queen!

It's finally my turn!!! I've been making blocks for the scrapbeelicious for ladies for the past 10 months and now I get to be QUEEEEEEEN! Each gal has picked out some really fantastic blocks! I can. not. wait...to see their quilts!

For my block...I really wanted something more on the traditional side of quilting but with a little modernization. So...I decided to go with Flying Geese! It know flying geese are kind of a pain to work with but I thought the remix idea from Liesl Made and Cath's paper piece idea were awesome. You can find the paper piece patterns on Cath's blog HERE. She just so happens to be part of our group too so I'm pretty excited about that too.

My Geese color requests: Modern bright and bold prints/blenders (blacks are ok!)
My Background color requests: Scrappy Low Volume prints

I've finally been able to collect some low volumes scraps and prints so I can make a block to show you! Here's a block I did in the style I want...

Don't forget to pay attention to the direction of the geese I have here and have fun ladies! Can't wait to see all the pretty colors you put in the blocks!

  4. I love your colour palette and I am really looking forward to seeing your quilt when it is finished. I am thinking about making one similar - still have to collect those low volume fabrics. I can well relate to your wish of a colourful quilt and also flying geese so I will stay tuned! Good Luck and greetings from Germany
