Zakka Along 2.0 Patchwork, Please - Swedish Bloom Mini Quilt

This week was yet another quilt for the Zakka Along. As usual, I have all the time in the world to make a quilt but can't commit that much effort at this time. I couldn't decide what to make the Swedish Bloom block into. I was thinking about it for days! I just decided to make it into a cute "little" wall hanging with my daughter's name on it. So the secret is out now...about her name that is :)

This "little" quilt top measures 19" x 27.5" and it's made entirely out of scraps with exception to the dot border fabric and the light pink petal center fabric.

I haven't decided on the backing for it yet. I'll probably hand quilt it. I'll post about it when it's completed.

I paper pieced her name with an awesome pattern I won from Diane of From Blank Pages. You can find the pattern on Craftsy

  1. Very pretty take on that one! I think I like this block better like this in these fresh and bright colours than in the originals used in the book. It'll make a very pretty wall-hanging.
