National Quilting Day

I was reading the Moda Blog (The Cutting Table) and wanted to share this with you...

National Quilting Day is tomorrow Saturday March 16, 2013! What a perfect time to launch this website and promote the joy of quilting! March is National Craft month after all! This wonderful day is held the 3rd Saturday of March every year. This year it is on March 16. National Quilting day was first declared by the members of the National Quilting Association in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1991. Since then, it has expanded to include the entire month of March...yay!

This year's theme is for National Quilting Day is "Celebrate America!" People all over from from quilters, to quilt shops & quilt guilds all over the country are planning special events. This year the National Quilting Association suggests organizing a service day, teaching children to quilt, or creating a quilt to give to a member of the armed services. Click here for free patterns provided for this occasion by them HERE.

Check back tomorrow because I will be posting my FIRST project & tutorial to mark the occasion! YAY! This is your chance to learn a new skill or project! Feel free to email me with any questions or if you need some help!
