I can't believe how quick I'm making these suckers! I somehow managed to crank out 15 blocks today and complete the entire Stripes chapter! Phew! My blocks are untrimmed and not pressed very well so please don't judge me...haha. If you're wondering why my fabric choices are so funky, it's because I'm only using scraps and FQ's. Also, I'm trying to imitate the colors that Tula uses in the book :)
Onto the Squares chapter tomorrow. Lately, my block pics may be a little dark or have a shadow over them. Sorry for that. I'm pulling pics from my phone that I've posted to instagram. Feel free to follow me! @steph_quarterincherquilting

Great blocks! I love the pinks in 56. I just got this book for Christmas. Any advice before I get started?
ReplyDeleteWow, you've been busy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks! My favorite is 69, the green hues are so dreamy. I have the book but haven't started yet...you are inspiring me to get on with it.
ReplyDeleteActually I was glad to see your blocks untrimmed. It shows me that everyone needs to trim. I had been feeling bad that my blocks weren't coming out perfect even checking 1/4 inch seam. So this happens to all! :) And your projects look so perfect when I've looked at your previous pics! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGirl- look at you go! these blocks are so fabulous! You know how much I love your use of saturated color, and I can't wait to see them all together!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at Needle and Thread Thursday!

It must be fun to look at the scraps and remember the projects you used them on!
ReplyDeleteThose blocks are wild! Can't wait to see your finished product.
ReplyDeleteFun colors! I love the green one - 65!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun, exciting colors. I usually go for the more conventional colors. I have to get out of my box! I long to have your exuberance.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should get the book to tempt me.
