Sew Sew Modern 3 Swap items received!!!

O.M.G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's all I can say. Seriously. I am absolutely dumbfounded by the swap item I received. My ultimate swap wish was granted with this one....and I am soooo happy! You should have seen my face when I opened it up! I literally squealed and jumped up and down. Seriously...ask my sister and mom who were with me when I opened the package.

Here is my absolutely gorgeous new weekender! I CANNOT wait to use it! (now for a trip somewhere, ANYWHERE!)

I am definitely using this as my hospital bag when I deliver this little gummy bear!

*Edited*- forgot to mention my partner! It was the wonderfully talented Lisa!

I know...you're jealous. I'm jealous of myself! Is that even possible? I'm still pinching myself to make sure this is for reals! I still can't believe this is all mine!

Scrappy Trip Around the World Bee Round 2 Blocks

I think I may have FINALLY gotten my mojo back! Whoo-hoo! Boy does it feel good! Last night I was looking at my beautiful fabric collection and thought...I should really catch up on some stuff before I get too far behind. I have some deadlines coming up very soon. I'm running behind in a few other things like the Patchwork Please Sew Along and the Tula Pink City Sampler Blocks Sew Along as well. Oh well...I'll get around to those later. My swaps and bees are far more important. People are waiting for my work to be completed and mailed so it's sorta priority.

Here are the blocks for the Scrappy Trip Around World Bee. This time around my bee members had very specific requests. Last round it seemed we all wanted the same thing more or less. It was fun picking out the specific prints or colors for the round though. Each member's block is unique and not just random brights like last round.

Block for Olivia- requested Black & White with Color center strip

Block for Licet - requested boyish Blues, Greys & Black with Blue center strip

Block for Sandy - requested Blues, Browns & Creams with Brown center strip

Block for Shirley - requested Grey, Black, Orange & Aqua

My turn on the Pin it Blog Hop!

It's taken all my energy to finally get around to writing this post! Sheesh!

A big thanks for Mdm Samm of Sew We Quilt for hosting as always!

I just don't have the energy or creativity to make something up on my own right now. Too many brain cells are required for that and I'm just too dang tired at the moment. Pregnancy is so much fun isn't it?

So I decided to use a lovely cathedral window pattern from Kim at My Go-Go Life on Moda Bakeshop for this hop. I used some lovely charms of "Sophie" by Chez Moi for Moda I had on hand. I made the cute little flower in the center to hide my seams. They turned out pretty good actually...but I still wanted to hide them anyways. Besides, the flower gives it the "cute" factor it needs plus a little dimension. It's just the right touch :)

You can find the pattern here

Some updates to the September Blogger's Choice Bundle for Fat Quarter Shop

Thank you for all the wonderful messages about being pregnant on my last post! I have so many kind comments from readers. It's nice to have support while I'm going through this experience through the online quilting community!

I just wanted to give you a little update about my September Blogger's Choice Bundle for Fat Quarter Shop. Two of the prints are from "Little Things" organic by Moda which has been delayed and will not be available for the bundle. Aww....bummed. The grey prints with the buttons and the coral print with the scrabble letters will not be in the bundle.

But not worry! There are other great prints to choose from! I chose some replacements and wanted to share with you so we can all get excited! The bundles will be cut soon and available for purchase! Yay!

I chose the Grey Numbers from Lori Holt's new line Gracie Girl & Sunset Humming Bird by Tula Pink's new line Acacia (the 2 center prints)

If you're ready to make the commitment, click the image to be directed to the shop! It's now available!

Why has it been quiet?

First, I just want to apologize for my blog being a little quiet lately. I feel bad for all my new followers. I have a pretty good excuse though, I swear!

I was debating on when to write about this. For some people, it's not a big deal. For me personally, I don't really like opening myself up to just anyone and letting them know everything that's going on in my life. You've probably noticed that I don't write about my day beyond sewing. I don't tell you about my recent trips, gardening techniques, moving situations, home renovations, what I ate for dinner, etc. You know what I mean. I know lots of bloggers post things besides sewing related consent.

I'm a little more discreet about those things, unless you know me personally. Well, I didn't know when to post about this...just in case something came up, or happened. But maybe it's not a big deal and you should or would want to know. After all, you are a follower and probably wondered why I've been posting less frequently. I was rockin' and rollin' with multiple posts a week. Then out of nowhere..posted less and less. Well, my energy is being sucked out me (literally) and I haven't been in the mood to sew. It feels like a chore at this point...just like eating. All I want to do is sleep. Does anyone know where I'm going with this?

Yes, it's true. Charlie will be a big sister...

Zakka Along 2.0 Patchwork, Please - Triangle Patchwork Box Pouch

Sorry I'm late to the party! I completed the box pouch and I'm ready to show it off to you! I've been pouring my energy into something else at the moment. I'll write a post about it soon!

I had some help picking out the fabrics from a 4 year old I was babysitting this week. She needed something fun to do. I throw her a bunch of fat quarters and she picked out all the prints. She insisted on a pink & purple pouch. I didn't finish it in time before she left yesterday but I told she could have it when it was all done.
